HOW TO RECEIVE BELLE PLAINE DFS SCHOLARSHIP MONEY

2024 Recipients MUST submit their redemption or deferment request by June 15, 2025.

Scholarship Redemption - Email the info below to: belleplainedfs@gmail.com

  • A picture of your college student ID, tuition statement or class registration list. It must have your name AND student ID number.
  • The name and address of your college where tuition payments should be sent.
  • Please include "your name and scholarship redemption" on the subject line of your email.
  • Ensure your request is made in enough time for us to get the check mailed and have it applied to your tuition bill by your college's deadline.
  • Colleges have the discretion to apply scholarships funds to their choosing - typically split evenly between the fall and spring semesters unless you indicate otherwise. If you would like all of your funds applied to a specific semester, you MUST indicate that to us in your redemption email so we can relay your preference to your school. 
  • You can request your redemption starting August 1st, 2024.
  • Funds will be paid directly to your college.
  • You need to be enrolled in class and classes must still be in session for the college to accept your scholarship funds. Requests that do not fall into your school's timeline may be paid towards your next semester. Ex) requesting payment in late spring or after classes are finished will go towards the next semester. PLAN ACCORDINGLY!

  • Your scholarship(s) will be forfeited if we do not receive your redemption (or deferment) request by the 6/15/2025 deadline. 

Deferment Requests 

  • Must be made via email by the 6/15/2025 deadline or your scholarship(s) will be forfeited. 
  • All deferment requests are automatically granted for one year.
  • If you are requesting a deferment for longer than one year, please include a reason and requested duration. Deferments greater than one year will be voted on by our board and you will receive an email back to let you know if it was approved or not.
