The Belle Plaine chapter of Dollars for Scholars was established in 1991 by a group of parents interested in providing financial incentives for students to enter post-secondary education. The chapter is a community driven organization where local monies are generated and distributed to Belle Plaine graduating seniors.

Through the years, the Belle Plaine community and its past graduates have established over 100+ sponsored scholarships. Also the the 716 Club, a program to donate money without the obligation of a sponsored scholarship, presently has 95 individual, family, or business members at varying monetary levels.

Since our inception we have awarded over 2 million dollars in scholarships!
